West Texas CHL is owned and operated by Jason Cox, who lives in a small west Texas town. Jason graduated from Grady I.S.D. in 1994 and has lived in Martin County his entire life. He is a dry land cotton farmer by trade and has many passions in life, one of which is his interest and knowledge in firearms use. His biggest passion is his family. His family is what has inspired him to pursue and complete his Concealed Handgun Instructor course in Austin, Texas. He is a graduate of the CHL Instructor Course from the DPS Academy, is an active member of the Sheriff’s Association of Texas, and is a lifetime member of the NRA.

Jason’s belief in the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution is unsurpassed. After he received his Concealed Handgun License, he began researching the current phenomena involving thousands of citizens applying for, and receiving, their CHL license. Visiting and interviewing many citizens and law enforcement officials from around the United States, he discovered that people simply want to defend themselves and their loved ones.

Jason has numerous goals in life. He is passionate about helping others become aware of how to protect themselves and their families. There is no doubt when he teaches a class, he is genuinely concerned for the welfare of the students listening to his instruction. You will not find a more qualified and considerate CHL instructor in the area.
